A recent job posting by 2K Czech has outed the fact that the company is looking for a Senior Game Designer to design game mechanics for an “open world city environment.” In addition to this, 2K Czech is looking for somebody with “Excellent knowledge of latest games” and “knowledge of narration in game design.” Since becoming 2K Czech, the only open-world game the studio has developed was Mafia II.
The company is also looking for an applicant who has worked on a triple-A that has received a Metacritic score of 80+. The current Mafia II Metacritic scores are 74, 75, and 77 for the various platforms. Could 2K Czech be working on the next installment of the Mafia franchise? Or are they working on something else entirely?
