Major League Gaming (MLG) has just announced that Halo: Reach, the longest-running franchise and historic center of the MLG Pro Circuit, will be featured at the MLG Winter Championships in Columbus, Ohio, from March 23-25. Teams from around the world will compete for $56,000 in prize money. Full details, including prizing breakdown and settings, will be announced shortly.
MLG recently confirmed that StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty and Mortal Kombat will also be featured at the Winter Championships. The Winter Season is currently underway for StarCraft 2 with players competing in online qualifiers to advance to the Winter Arena taking place in New York, NY, at the end of February. 32 of the world’s best StarCraft 2 players will compete at the first ever Winter Arena for $26,000 in prize money and a trip to the Winter Championships to vie for their share of $76,000.
