FIFA 08 Details

FIFA is without a doubt one of the best football franchises available today. So it should be pleasing to any fan that there is going to be some significant improvements in FIFA 08. Starting with the A.I.  The developers have added a 35 point decision engine which will force computer controlled opponents and teammates to systematically breakdown whether they should shoot, pass, etc. Along with that is a Threat Map which gives computer controlled players the ability to access their surroundings and close up any holes in the defense or cut off shooting angles.

The shooting system has also received an upgrade as the next-generation ball-striking engine calculates shot success by combining many different variables including: ball spin, pressure from defenders, player attributes, and even air pressure.

08's Be A Pro feature is likely to be a challenge as the game will lock you in on one specific player for which you will use the entire game. This will force you to work as part of the bigger picture from positioning and tackling to reading the field and passing.

Andrew Wilson, Executive Producer for FIFA 08 says, “This year, FIFA 08 takes its second step into the next-generation. Last year, we kicked off the next-generation by introducing a new engine and stunning ball physics. This year, we are introducing new gameplay, new modes and a new feeling of football finesse.”

On top of it all the FIFA that you have come to know and love is now 20% larger including: 620 licensed teams, 30 leagues, and more than 15,000 players!
