Medal of Honor Airborne Previewby Grant MacDonald
Medal of Honor: Airborne certainly seems like it will be worth checking out when it lands (that’s a pun, see?) in stores late fall. Determined not to produce an ‘also-ran’, EA look like they could well have breathed new life into an area that many regard as becoming tired. With paratroopers being such an important part in the Allies’ victory over 60 years ago, it’s surprising really that nobody thought of it sooner. But be thankful that EA did. Unless they slip up and pull the chord at the wrong time resulting in a tangled mess, we should be enjoying the third quality WWII shooter on 360 in as many years, after COD2 and 3. For some, old weaponry and no robots will never be fun in a shooter, but for those who like their historic shooters, don’t be too disheartened by COD4’s departure as Airborne is dropping in and could well land in the void with a cool running start.
