Microsoft Too Reliant on Halo 3?

    by Matt Gibbs

Is Microsoft relying too much on the marketing impact of Halo 3? Of course not, they don't need to rely on any one title. However of course Sony would object to that.

As SeattlePi report, Sony were asked about the market impact of Halo 3 last week, and they issued a statement implying that Microsoft is relying on the title too much:

"We've never been dependent on any one game - PlayStation has always offered a very diverse portfolio of gaming experiences and this year is no different," the statement said, citing upcoming titles such as Gran Turismo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4.

OK, so Sony are dependent on two games then - Gran Tursimo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
