Microsoft Admits Halo 3 Disc Scratching Problem

    by Matt Gibbs

Today we have an update to the Halo 3 Limited Edition scratched disc issue - Microsoft have admitted the problem and will be replacing the discs free of charge.

The replacement will be done through the Xbox Disc Replacement Program, which has long been operating, however as stated instead of the normal charge, all Halo 3 Limited Edition Game and Essentials Discs will be replaced free of charge until 31 December 2007 (by which time I presume they will have sold out of the Limited Edition, or fixed the packaging defect).

It's great to Microsoft come to the party early on, admit there is a problem and provide a solution for affected gamers. The only downside seems to be the 2 weeks delivery period for your new disc. If you want to download the program form and get your discs replaced start here.

BTW - we are hard at work on our review and expect it to be finished shortly, keep an eye out for it!
