Besides the new track list, grueling boss battles, and new venues there are also new characters to play through the career with. We can't go into them specifically but the added ones are so much fun to jam with and I cannot wait to see what comes out of the unlockables. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, will also feature an entirely new multiplayer (online and offline) system that we unfortunately did not get to see much of at the press event but from what we have heard it sounds freaking awesome. For the first time gamers will have the option of battling it out head-to-head over Xbox Live to see who rocks the hardest. Also the developers have added some new modes for the multiplayer component, including one action-inspired battle mode that sounds just amazingly fun. There is so much more to this game that the folks over at Activision didn't want us to talk about due to spoiling some of the fun but if I haven't said it already; I can't wait for this game to ship. Everything about Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock feels new and updated. From the new Gibson wireless guitar to the hellish boss battles, I walked away impressed by what is coming down the pipe from the series. Check out our other coverage of Guitar Hero III, including pictures and a video, then come back on October 28th for a full review of the final game, only at Planet Xbox 360.
