Crash of the Titans Crashes on to Xbox 360

    by Matt Gibbs

Sierra is unleashing Crash for the ultimate encounter against his arch-nemeses in Crash of the Titans, the latest installment of the best-selling Crash Bandicoot video game franchise. Crash of the Titans is now available at retail stores nationwide for the Xbox 360 and other systems.

In Crash of the Titans, Crash’s arch nemeses, Neo and Nina Cortex, have mutated the creatures of Whumpa Island into horrific abominations. Players must defeat the titanic monsters and put an end to their evil scheme. For the first time ever in a Crash game, our heroic bandicoot now has a powerful acrobatic fighting system and can even “hijack” an enemy to use its immense powers against the other enemies.

Having sold more than 40 million units worldwide, Crash Bandicoot is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time,” said Pascal Brochier, president, global retail for Vivendi Games. “Crash fans and retailers have eagerly awaited Crash of the Titans, the first multi-platform Crash game to be released since 2005’s Crash Tag Team Racing.”

Crash is a unique and immensely popular character,” said Al Simone, senior vice president of Global Marketing, Sierra Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to present an exciting new Crash with all new abilities, who still retains the daredevil attitude and striking sense of humor that has made him so popular over the years.”

Key Features in Crash of the Titans include:
    • “Jack to Attack!” – Control, play and battle as 15 outrageous, original enemies, including titanic creatures such as Scorporilla, Ratcicle, Magamadon and Shellephant. Use each creature’s special attacks and powers to defeat Neo and Nina Cortex.
    • Chaotic Co-Op Action – A feature that will get everyone involved! At any point in the game, a second player can join in the fun and unleash twice the bandicoot action to defeat the nefarious Cortex’s.
    • Hyper-Dynamic Combat – In addition to Crash’s classic spin, he now has the ability to use punches, flying kicks, counter moves and unlockable, upgradeable combos.
    • Up for Adventure – With an amazingly expanded move set, Crash can now interact with his surrounding world in completely new ways. Players can swing from ropes, wall-run and cause chaos with Crash’s newfound freedom.
The Crash of the Titans game is now available at retail stores on the Xbox 360 for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
