    Pirates or Ninjas?

    by Matt Gibbs

Gamecock Media announced today that Blazing Lizard’s Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball will debut on Xbox Live Arcade in early 2008. The title looks to answer the age-old question of which much-revered profession is better, by settling the score... with (dodge)balls.

It is no secret that Pirates and Ninjas have beef,” stated Chris Stockman, Studio Director of Blazing Lizard. “But it turns out both have a great love for dodgeball and unique skills when it comes to playing the game. We are bringing together sworn enemies for what I can guarantee will be explosive dodgeball action.

Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball will have sea-faring thieves squaring off against stealthy martial artists in beautiful environments. The game will allow for up to eight players and offer five teams, including pirates and ninjas and three more that will announced soon. Each team has their own unique style and techniques and is hell-bent on destroying the opposition.

I have to agree with the price of all the random games on the Arcade... Buying a classic and wll known title like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for $10 vs a random dodgeball game for $10 is not appealing. The way things stand I buy mabye 1 arcade game every 2-3 months for $10 each... If they were $5/400 points I would definately a lot more. also 4 vs 4 seems to be the new magic number for competetive games...

we have all been waiting for this score to be settled for hundreds of years, now is the time! go ninjas!! this sounds great, i've been hoping for a dodgeball game to appear for quite some time, i think it would be fun but i think it would be wasted as a 360 game and just end up like rockstar table tennis so i think it will fit in well in the arcade and if the trial game is good then i'll definately be buying this one!

Looks pretty good to me. 4 on 4 dodgeball on Live Arcade sounds like a lot of fun. About the 800 points, I think it seems worthwhile.

First off. Ninjas FTW! Secondly... meh... the game doesn't sound that great. If it's going to be 800 like most original games, 5 teams just doesn't sound enough... idk... just have to wait till it comes out.
