The game's clever stick-figure cartoon look really helps sell the stylized levels; but eventually makes the levels feel a bit stale. The giant, fluffy fires and oversized locks only look cool the first dozen times you see them. Unfortunately, the game's controls are not nearly as slick as its style. As hip as Mr. Esc looks in his 1920's way, he moves with the grace of a rusty tin man. The slow, robotic movements may be part of the game's style, but it feels unnecessary and frustrating.
Exit is an action-puzzle game that is a little light on action, but makes up for it in terms of style and thought-provoking puzzles. It is certainly the most unique, and at 220 puzzles, lengthiest puzzle game currently offered on Live Arcade, and despite a few minor issues, one of the best.
