Bethesda have announced the winner of the Fallout 10th Anniversary Contest, where fans had a chance to design a new Perk for Fallout 3, with the winner getting their entry actually published in Fallout 3 along with some other prizes.
The winner was Marc-André Deslongchamps with his entry ‘Grim Reaper’s Sprint,” which restores all your action points whenever you kill an opponent and it will be included in Fallout 3 next Fall. Bethesda also selected 11 runners-up and some winners at random from among the more than 17,000 entries.
About half the perks we’ve already created for the game were submitted, so if we already thought of it, it was cut. About a thousand entries were called “Berserk”, so those didn’t win. Any perk that referenced something outside of the Fallout world, like the one hundred “McGyver” entries didn’t make it. So what do the winners all have in common? They have great names and great ideas. Some are just hilarious (Crazy Eye); some use the game systems in new ways. But most of all, they are perks we’d want to play.To see the full list of winners you can visit the official site
