Turok Pre-Order Demo Disc Available

A sneak preview of the new Turok video game is now available in the United States at major retailers in-store and online.  Touchstone announced today that a pre-order demo disc with approximately 30 minutes of gameplay from Turok, the epic, story-driven first person shooter game, is available at select retailers, including Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart.com and Game Crazy.

The demo disc package includes a premium item and will be distributed to all customers who pre-order Turok and put down a deposit towards their purchase.  Offers are valid while supplies last.

Published by Touchstone and developed by Propaganda Games, Turok will be available for the Xbox 360 and other systems for $59.99 at major retail stores on February 5, 2008.  A Windows PC version will be available in Spring 2008.

“Turok is an engaging, intense game and we’re eager to see the reactions of video game fans as they experience this demo before the game’s February release,” said Josh Holmes, vice president and studio general manager.  “This sample of Turok should give people a sense of the variety of memorable environments, terrifying creatures and unique challenges that are inherent to the game.”

Turok.com also recently re-launched. The new Turok.com features a creative new layout, videos and will also offer podcasts in the near future.

The cinematic-quality story of Turok combined with top Hollywood voice talent, including Timothy Olyphant, Powers Boothe, Ron Perlman, William Fichtner and Donnie Wahlberg, immerse the player into the world of Joseph Turok and his team. 

In the game, players take on the role of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando, who is now part of an elite special forces squad, known as Whiskey Company.  Turok is on a mission to take down a war criminal – Turok’s former mentor, Roland Kane.  Turok must use his elite military training to elude Kane’s well-trained army (the Mendel-Gruman Corporation) as well as dinosaurs, huge insects and other ravenous creatures that populate the environment, in order to capture Kane and bring him to justice.
