Each one of the sound effects and songs that blast out of the speakers while kicking some devil ass is done with developing perfection, helping the overall atmosphere that is created in the moody setting. If there were one word that we could use to describe the experience that is Devil May Cry 4 it would be, fun. The game is not perfect, it has problems and some of those problems can cause people to overlook the greatness that lies beneath the surface. When looked at in its entirety the single player campaign is one of the best available to fans of the action genre on any console. The fourth rendition in the DMC series is my personal favorite (even though I played little of the third one) and I had a blast playing it from beginning to end. With super strong controls, interesting RPG elements, two entirely different fighting styles (Nero/Dante), an involving story line, and eye popping graphics it is easy to overlook the small AI/camera/repetitive/button mashing issues. If you are a fan of the Devil May Cry series then Capcom’s latest should be a no-brainer purchase for you. At the same time if Playstation wasn’t your thing and you have no idea who Dante is but love action games Devil May Cry 4 is something to check out.
