It's just the way I speak Chef. I'm unsure if you are implying it's a negative attribute but regardless, I take it as a compliment. As a writer, my "vocabulary" must be extensive even though it's beside the point. |

Wow some of you guys sound like you should be making the dang games instead of playing them. Yo Kona what the hell does myopic mean? And why do you insist on using vocabulary that is most appropriate in a presidential debate? |

D-Bag Rein's comments were cryptic and inexplicit. How exactly did UT surpass Halo 3? I noticed once the comments were published he back pedaled. I have logged many hours via UT III and I can say with certainty it looks much better than Halo 3. This is fact, However, I am reminded of the old antiquated Sony PS2 fanboy rebuttal, "It's not about the graphics". This is true but honestly, what does UT bring? It has a very solid MP while its SP campaigns are a complete shit. Conversely, Halo 3 offers both a solid MP and SP which from my perspective is much more value for your dollar. I'm not saying Halo 3 was a great game, it wasn't but to claim a predominately MP title with horrible SP missions has surpassed Halo in terms of game play would be absurd and myopic. In terms of online play and graphics? Sure that's debatable but online play and graphics are only but a small aspect in rating the overall quality of a game. |

Who cares about engines, graphics, sales, or any other word these studios can up with the to sell their games. In the end which games are the funnest to play? I know which game is not very fun to play at all, Halo 3. cod 4 is the best thing out right now until army of two hits the shelves. If you haven't seen the trailers for this game go see them right now and tell me i'm wrong. This unreral tounament looks pretty cool too though. All in all there are some pretty exciting multiplayer games coming out soon, today is frontlines realese. If you are not into multiplayer then wait till april when gta4 comes out. Man I am so happy I have an x box 360. |

ABYSSAL get off Bungie's dick and don't talk to my bro wrutless like that. When Halo 3 came out, yeah it was fun. But dammit in hindsight it really is overrated. All hype. Secondly, wrutless is right. The Unreal Engine walks all over the Halo 3 Engine. It's blatantly obvious and disagreeing is just funny. And strange how you yell at wrutless about game engines. What in the hell do you know about them? To be honest, you really don't need to know. Just like at the current state of things. Which engine is being used by more developers? Bungie's or the Unreal Engine? Case dismissed dumbass. It's used more for a reason. Cuz it's better.
Anyways ABYSSAL = Halo3 fanboy |

This is what it comes down to: From what I could find on these fabulous interwebs, UTIII has sold 200,000 copies, including both PC and PS3 version sales. As of Jan 1st, Halo 3 sold over 8 million copies, 360 version only. There are more than 2 times the number of people playing Halo 3 simultaneously each night than have bought UTIII in total. In both sales and reviews, the UT series is not even in the same league as the Halo series. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on which game they like better, but to say something completely moronic like "Halo 3 was an utter disappointment" is, well, completely moronic. When you're on top, jealous competing devs like Mark Rein and the oh-so-reasonable-thinking internet fanboys take shots at you. There is a reason why the Halo series is the benchmark for console shooters. There is also a reason why Halo's fanbase continues to play each release for years while the tiny-by-comparision fanbase of the UT series drift away to something else a couple months after each release. This isn't to say I don't like the UT series, however, as I actually had a great time with UT2004 on the PC. Let's just keep to reality, though. |

LOL @ ABYSSAL. The UT3 engine DANCES all over the Halo3 engine in both graphics (by a mile) and physics. So put your fanboyism aside and talk sense. |

Dont quite know what hes meant to be implying with that statement. Sounds jealous of Bungies sucess if hes talking about a game thats on another system to their game. Soon as UT is released on 360 then will judge |

Hes just envious of bungie and what they accomplished with their game engine, Halo 3 pushed the bar up and epic had to revamp unreal, there has to be a Halo 4 there just has to be |

UT3 is an awesome game. I have it for PS3 and it is very fun. I agree Dakota, Halo 3 was a disappointment. I was a big fan of the first 2 Halo games but not too much Halo 3. |

Halo 3 was an utter disappointment. I'm not surprised that more people tend to play CoD4 than it. The same will happen once Gears of War 2 comes out. I am looking forward to Unreal 3. |

Did it top Call of duty 4 ? ... No ? Then shut up about it (Not you matt) as pretty much everyone knows that halo 3 is not the most popular game at the moment.
Don't strutt your stuff too quick. |

I think it's in relation to the PS3 version, which is about to be released in Europe. |

What does he even mean? Is he talking about the 360 version of UTIII? I've read that the sales of the PS3 version weren't very good. The reviews weren't on level of Halo 3 either. So what is he referring to? On any given evening there are still approx. 500,000 people simultaneously playing Halo 3. I'm not even sure the PS3 version of UTIII has even sold that many copies total. It would be nice to see this quote in context. |
