Bungie Aiming to Get Halo 3 Back on Top

    by Matt Gibbs

Everyone knows that Call of Duty 4 has been ruling the Xbox Live Activity rankings for several weeks now, but Bungie have said that they plan to get some ground back.

Speaking at GDC to EuroGamer, Bungie Community Leader Brian Jarrard said,

"We have a lot of awesome new content coming up. We're not walking away from Halo 3. We have a group of people at the studio that are just focused on keeping the game going strong for the foreseeable future, so I think we'll continue to evolve and I expect there to be a back-and-forth [between us and COD4] for a while."

Items and aspects that he mentioned will be looked at include playlists, user created content, as well as Map Packs. What do you think? Is Call of Duty 4 just too good, or can what is meant to be the flagship title for the Xbox 360 claw back?

Microsoft controls the servers. So actually it is content that is the issue here.

I highly doubt that Halo 3 will be back on top. Focus on the servers, screw content.
