Massive Xbox 360 Price Cut Just Before GTA IV Launch?by Matt Gibbs
Rumors are starting to flow in that soon after the time Grand Theft Auto IV is released on the Xbox 360, a significant console price cut announcement will also be made by Microsoft.
Tech Radar is reporting that on 14 March the price of the Xbox 360 in Europe will be cut by a massive €50 across all the various SKU's. This is according to "numerous well-placed games industry sources and UK retailers".
Another site, VideoGaming247, is also contributing to the rumor, saying that they too have confirmed it with a "senior source", although retailers they spoke to claimed to know nothing, perhaps because of non-disclosure agreements they say.
Either way it will be interesting to see if any leaks or rumors come out of the United States, because it's all coming from Europe at this stage. If you've got the money it makes sense to try and grab all the GTA4 sales right, and Microsoft has plenty of that.
