The game offers three play modes - Battle, or Standard and Advanced Campaigns. With fifteen missions just in the Standard Campaign and two endings to the Advanced Campaign, the game does offer a decent length for those who can look past its blemishes. The game does offer to extend your experience with two to four player games over the same console, or over Live. Despite the nice set of options for setting up the battles, including how much 'fog' to incorporate (preventing other teams from watching what you are doing), the small set of maps will turn most off quickly. You play on the same ten maps as the Battles mode, and the waiting for your turn to start back up can make for a drowsy gaming experience.

Commanders: Attack Of The Genos fills a gap in the Live Arcade market, but you cannot help but feel as though it could have been done much better. Those in dire need for a turn-based strategy title on the 360 will have no choice but to fork over the 800 MS Points, but it is hardly worth half that.
