    Ratatouille Goes Platinum

    by Matt Gibbs

THW have announced that the Ratatouille video game based on the Disney/Pixar film of the same name has achieved the Xbox 360 “Platinum Family Hits” collection and Sony Computer Entertainment America “Greatest Hits” sales milestones. THQ originally released Ratatouille in summer 2007 across 11 different gaming systems and has since shipped nearly four million copies across all platforms worldwide. With the recent sales achievements, the Ratatouille video game is now available at retailers throughout North America for the new suggested retail price of $19.99.

Throughout the company’s successful relationship with Disney/Pixar, THQ has shipped more than 35 million units of video games based on award-winning animated films such as Finding Nemo, Cars and Ratatouille. The next game slated for release under THQ’s agreement with Disney/Pixar is based on the highly anticipated, summer theatrical release WALL●E. Development for WALL●E is being led by THQ’s internal Heavy Iron Studios.

    About the Ratatouille Video Game

Inspired by the unique characters and storyline from the Ratatouille film, fans experience the sights and sounds of Paris across a multitude of gaming systems. In the game, players assume the role of Remy, a young rat whose love for great food puts him at odds with the needs of his family. Players experience highlights from the film, as well as the memorable characters and key locations, as they explore five action-packed worlds, more than 20 challenging missions and mini-games and go head-to-head in multiplayer. Ratatouille allows players to evade detection from dangerous and often hungry enemies, brave the perils of the dinner-rush, and create culinary masterpieces in this senses-shattering journey to fulfill Remy’s life-long dream of becoming a great chef.

ALLLRIGHT !!!!!! KILLER GOTY CONTENDER MATERIAL !!!! what ? it didin't win anything last year ? then why do people buy it ? oh you don't know either ?.. Did you guys ever notice that most games "for kids" are more and more difficult? My 8 year old kid is great at games like Sonic and ohter classics on XBL but when it comes to games like Ratatouile and others (F4 comes to mind) they seem to make the games complicated especially for kids). Anyways I might be scooping this up for my daugther as i know she liked the demo (although could not finish it)
