Aside from the two main modes of play you can also check your stats, which consist of hands won/lost/played along with how many types of hands are coming your way. There is also a friends leaderboard which shows their bankrolls and sometimes leads to a “who has the biggest bankroll” competition.
Not counting the bugs that are found within the game, the overall presentation is the biggest disappointment. During play you don’t see actual human modeled opponents; instead you see a little rectangle with rounded corners that shows your opponents avatar along with the amount of cash in chips they have left. The game does allow you several choices when it comes to the table you want to play on which does help to mix it up a little. There are only two animations in the game. One is when the cards are dealt out and the other is when the chips are thrown into the middle. Not really anything to take your breath away.

Unlike the graphical side of things the audio isn’t too shabby. Well you will want to turn off the games one track as it’s only repetitive and is sure to drive you crazy. The sound effects are all nicely put together from the alerting sound of someone going all in to the nice cha-ching when more chips make their way into your possession.
Altogether I really can’t give Texas Hold ‘Em the description of ‘solid’. This is mainly due to the fact that the only enjoyable part of the game is its multiplayer and even that is brought down by one too many bugs and its lackluster presentation. Please people don’t “settle” for this game and waste your hard drive space; you’ll understand why it was free for 48 hours.
