Saint's Row Gains Street Cred in the U.K.

    by Nelson Rodriguez

THQ's gangster title has climbed its way to the top of the UK game sales charts, in its first week in stores.  Saint's Row beat down another, vastly different THQ game 'Cars' to claim the number 1 position.  In a bit of irony, the success of the new sandbox action-adventure game pushed Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories down one position to the number three spot.

Saint's Row is now the second best selling 360 game in England, after Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.  Keep in mind that Dead Rising, a huge hit in the U.S., has yet to drop in the United Kingdom, so next week may see a challenger to 'the Row's' cushy spot as king of the hill.
