Capcom Slings a Dead Rising Freebie onto XBL

A special key is available for download now, and will allow you to access a locker that contains a ‘Coldhearted Snake’ outfit to parade around in through the mall.  Venture onto Xbox Live for the key. 

A no-fee bonus is a nice catch for fans, even if it is just a Paula Abdul-themed costume.  Also, encouraging gamers to unlock new downloadable content through playing the game is an interesting mechanism. 

Sure, unlockable content is nothing new, but tying the use of download packs with in-game action, where you have to play to fully access the goods rather than just giving you the items in question through a menu, seems a fun way to go about it.  I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether this is a nuisance or a cool feature, or nothing at all.
