Activision Wants You to Invade Normandyby Nelson Rodriguez
In association with Spike TV and Best Buy, the Call of Duty series publisher is sponsoring a Call of Duty 3 Challenge that could find you touring key battle locations from the Normandy breakout. If you can’t make your way to open auditions today in Los Angeles, you have one day to make the September 8th deadline for video entries.
“Audition”? You didn’t think you’d get something for nothing, did you? The CoD3 challenge is actually a reality show contest where contestants will compete in bootcamp-style missions at a ‘secret military installation’. Contestants will appear on Spike TV’s new show “Game Head”.
In addition to the Normandy trip, you’re fighting for a VIP voyage for two to the Spike TV Video Game Awards and a complete home entertainment system from Best Buy. That is somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000 worth of goodies, all told.
If you are over 18 and a legal resident of the United States, run over to 200 South La Brea in the city of angels, or get yourself in front of a video camera and explain why you should be selected for the contest. Videos must be uploaded through gamespot.com by 11:59 pm on Friday, September 8th.
No mention was made of extra consideration for videos featuring leather chaps.
