Dead Rising Devours Saints Row in the UK Charts

The Capcom roaming zombie game knocked the roaming gangster game off the number one spot, outselling every other game on the list.  Dead Rising has also claimed the title of fastest selling Xbox  360 game since last year's console launch, pushing out Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and Saints Row.

Dead Rising was only released in the U.K. this past week.  Though the game has been plagued by complaints about miniscule text on standard definition T.V.s, UK gamers were not discouraged.  The game has been a huge hit in the U.S., and a certain writer predicted it would challenge the Row's claim to the top spot across the pond.  The 3rd street Saints can still be found loitering at number two.

The U.K. charts also saw Test Drive Unlimited zoom into the number four spot, resulting in Xbox 360 exclusives holding three of the top five sales slots for all games.  The Xbox 360 is being treated very well by the PAL crowd, but it remains to be seen how the March showdown will play out.
