Frontlines: Fuel of War Receives new Map and Update

by Eric Bush

AGOURA HILLS, CA - July 10, 2008 - THQ Inc. (NASDAQ: THQI) today announced Frontlines™: Fuel of War™ has released Boneyard, the first of five new maps as part of their recent title update enabling all multiplayer maps to support up to 50-player online battles on Xbox Live®. The map supports 12 to 50 players and features all new weaponry including a Red Star transport helicopter, an automatic shotgun and rocket mounted jeeps. Players will need to use all weapons in the arsenal as they battle for control over the last two active missiles in the rocket graveyard.

Four more maps of varying sizes will be released on Xbox Live® this summer. Each map will feature new, unique content, adding more vigor to the warfare. Specifically in Boneyard, there will be an intense mix of infantry and light armored vehicle combat. In addition, there will be a new multiplayer mode patch called conquer mode, increasing the depth of the 50-player online gameplay. Conquer mode will also be released this summer and will be compatible with the new maps being released.

About Boneyard:

Located on the border of Russia and Kazakhstan, the deadly Shilnaya Balka Nuclear Missile facility has become a priority target for the Western Coalition. During a daring pre-dawn raid, WC units secured the southern missile launchpad, housing the smaller of the two rockets, a Soyuz 2. Unable to capture the larger Soyuz 3c rocket, WC mechanized air and ground forces now rally in an attempt to disable the weapon, before Red Star Command can arm the warhead. Meanwhile, RS armor moves to prevent the WC from launching the Soyuz 2, even if it means destroying one of the last nuclear weapons in their arsenal.
