Tomorrow morning at 4:30 a.m. we leave the Birmingham International Airport for the sunny shores of Los Angeles, CA to attend what most gamer's in the country are dreaming about; the 2008 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). In the four days that we will be at E3 we'll be covering such a mass of games, attending many free dinners, and late drunken parties, followed by all-night writing sessions, that we are actually a bit nervous about the whole thing. This is the Super Bowl of our industry though, thus in the end our excitement to have a beer with Cliff Bleszinski outweighs the overall severity of our fear.
We will be making hourly updates from the Microsoft Press Conference and the floor of the E3 show, then at night we will be writing up detailed, hands-on experience of the games we got to see. Tons of images and videos from the show will be posted over the next week as well. The number of games we'll be seeing and/or going hands-on with is mind-blowing, especially in such a short amount of time; some of the confirmed titles will be:
- Gears of War 2
- Fable 2
- Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
- Fallout 3
- Borderlands
- Resident Evil 5
- Street Fighter IV
- Saint's Row 2
- UFC Undisputed 2009
- Call of Duty: World at War
- EndWar
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction
- Beyond Good and Evil 2
- Blitz: The League 2
- Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
- House of the Dead 4
- Golden Axe: Beast Rider
- Deer Hunter Tournament
- LEGO Batman: The Videogame
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
