    Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis

    by Arthur K

Table Tennis really has some of the nicest graphics of all the sports games on the Xbox 360. The physics of the clothes is probably the best I have ever seen; shirts and shorts move just like they do in real life. The textures are all extremely sharp and the character design is nothing short of spectacular.

Simply put, the game looks amazing... and it should really, considering you’re inside a small room with only a table and a few banners around you for the entire time.

If you've played table tennis in real life then you'll know the ping pong ball has a very specific sound. You will be hearing it a lot in this game and it does sound perfect. The announcer, along with the crowd, also adds to the immersion of the game and none of the sounds really fall short in Table Tennis. There isn’t much in the sound department of Table Tennis, but for what’s there, it all sounds good.

The online aspect of Table Tennis is pretty solid. Join up or start up a game and climb to the top of the leaderboards by beating your opponents, there are also a few achievements linked to playing online. I personally found a lot of people who are extremely good, so it will take you a lot of practice to get to their level. Once you find someone your level, the game can really start to shine with the endless rallies you have with each other.

    Final Word

Rockstar’s Table Tennis definitely looks great and plays solid, but it’s hard to get past the fact that it’s very feature-less. Even at a budget price, there just isn’t enough here to keep you going; especially if you don’t get hooked on the gameplay.

The rumbling feature they introduced is an extremely good addition that I hope to see other games incorporate in future titles. With amazing graphics, I feel that Rockstar’s Table Tennis is a great game to whip-out and impress your friends for a quick pick-up and play game everyone can enjoy. Other than that, there isn’t much else here that will make it worth owning.
