The latest issue of Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has revealed that Capcom plans to release a demo of Resident Evil 5 on December 5, 2008--at least in Japan. The demo (only confirmed for the Japanese market), which the magazine claims will only be available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, will offer online two-player co-op gameplay and feature two stages. We expect the American branch of Capcom to confirm this announcement very soon. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: Capcom has confirmed to Shacknews that a Resident Evil 5 demo will hit both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America, though there is no announced timeframe. The company hopes to pin down a specific demo date "soon."
