Personal note from the editor:
I have been doing this thing a long time, starting as a game reviewer almost ten-years ago. Since that fateful day I have worked at multiple publications, attended countless events, played too many games, and loved every single minute of it. For those of you that don't know I was a semester away from graduating Law School when the opportunity to run PlanetXbox360.com full-time was offered to me. Without 5 minutes of thinking the decision was made, this is what I love to do and you only get one shot at making an actual career out of playing video games and traveling the world. I have always been lucky enough to get some amount of personal satisfaction out of doing this work; reaching out to a quarter of a million people a month with the latest Xbox 360 news, reviews, and features just does it for me. Let me say a quick thank you to the technical gurus at Microsoft for supporting me over the past ten years as well as honoring me with the 2009 MVP award.

A few weeks ago I was notified that I had been nominated and consequently been awarded with the 2009 Microsoft MVP award in the Xbox category; today I received the award package (pictured below) and wanted to share it with all of our readers. The only reason I am able to wake up each day and spend 15+ hours on the site is because of you all, the readers; I for one know my wife isn't the happiest about it but she supports the work that I do. Anyhow take a minute to check out my personal Xbox MVP profile by clicking here (Microsoft MVP page). 2009 is a very exciting year for gaming and I personally do not plan on slowing down whatsoever, PlanetXbox360.com will continue to bring you some of the best gaming coverage on the internet and this MVP award will only help down the road. All of the things included in this award package will be on display in my office for the rest of my life no matter which direction my life takes me; it really does mean that much to me. Thanks for sticking with us in 2008 and we look forward to the future!
