Rockstar Prices 1st Grand Theft Auto IV DLC at $19.99

    by Eric Bush

Rockstar has confirmed to Eurogamer that the upcoming DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV will be priced for the long-rumored cost of 1600 ($19.99 at retail). The Lost and Damned is said to add around 20 hours of gameplay as players take on the role of Johnny Klebitz, member of the Liberty City biker gang The Lost.

The 1600 price-point rumor had been swirling since video game retailer GameStop added a product page for The Lost and Damned on its website. The retail version of the content will not ship on disc, instead it will be made available in the form of a redemption code that will require a connection to Live (Yes, Silver Members too). But now that it's official, what do you think about the price to re-enter Liberty City?

The Lost and Damned will become available on February 17th, exclusively on the Xbox 360 - Xbox Live Marketplace (DLC).

I think the price is great, and anywhere near 20 hours of gameplay for that price is a steal.....stay tuned for more info on the game soon!

I love GTA 4, so im sure i will be downloading it at some point, if i can get the credits together ill get it at launch. Depends on its size it will take on my hard drive, as i still got the 20GB drive i had at consoles launch.

Is this DLC expected to compare with Oblivion's expansion Shivering Isles, which also had a $20 price tag. It doesn't look like it to me. Also, I have to agree with the "below average" comment, I feel the same way.

Below average game? I'd have to say the masses disagree with you on that one. It's a pretty solid game.

Woah. That's WAY too high of a price for this DLC. I was hoping that the DLC would give me a reason to get me back into the game, since I haven't played GTAIV since May. But forget it; we already paid $60 for a below average game, I'm not throwing Rock Star another $20.
