Xbox 360 Unveils New Signing at London Games Festivalby Matt Gibbs
Xbox 360 this week issued a severe warning to all girlfriends, wives and Premiership WAGS. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PES6) from Konami, one of the most realistic football titles ever developed and the cause of countless domestics, will be premiering at this weeks London Games Festival.
The London Games Festival will be the first public showing of Konami’s latest and much anticipated addition to the Pro Evolution series. HMV’s ‘Theatre of Dreams’ and flag ship Oxford Street store (150 Oxford St), will be the stage on the 6th October as hundreds of gamers put the game through it’s own pre-season, prior to it’s 27th October release.
West Ham striker, Bobby Zamora, will be ditching his boots for wireless controller buttons as he gives the game a Premiership road test. Bobby will be at the HMV store between 3 – 5 pm.
Pro Evolution Soccer fans include top Premiership stars such as Thierry Henry, John Terry and Ashley Cole as well as current toast of the Indie music scene, Kasabian. Gamers who turn up on the day will be invited to take part in ‘One V One Challenges’ to win limited edition PES 6 merchandise, trial the game in the specially constructed PES 6 Practice Area and check out the latest arcade titles at the Xbox Live Arcade area.
The all day trial is just part of the London Games Festival. Gamers can expect more football action than a double bill of Match of the Day as the crosses, goals and red cards rain in between 2 pm – 8 pm.
The London Games Festival (2nd – 7th October) celebrates the very best in contemporary video games. The capital’s weeklong celebration of games will showcase the hottest titles to hit our stores before the Christmas rush including RPGs (Role Playing Games), sports titles, first person shooters, fantasy and driving. Major retailers such as HMV will have special gaming areas in store throughout the week.
