There are many that believe Six Days in Fallujah will act as an educational tool for the younger generations and not just adults, the two get the same information in different mediums. The media in the UK more than the US have jumped on the bandwagon and are calling for a straight out ban of the game; is this hypocrisy on behalf of the media? Is it acceptable when they screen images of war when being used for a front-page story? It seems to me that the media is using this as a “scandal” story when they are guilty of the same crime. Many times we are forced to view images of pain and distress within minutes of the event happening, but now the opposing media have claimed that when it’s a video game it is immoral and created in bad taste.

The main question of concern is: what makes this game so much different to shooting Nazi’s in Castle Wolfenstein or from liberating Paris in Call of Duty 3? Look at the film United 93 that chronicled the events onboard the plane hijacked during the terrorist attacks of September 11, this film raised controversy but was released, it simply told a story and a game should be no different. Is it too soon to delve into recent events in Iraq? In my opinion I believe the game should be released as long as it meets specific criteria that any video game should and holds some regard as to the opinions being expressed by the concerned respondents. Is Konami in the wrong for canceling the Six Days in Fallujah because of public scrutiny? That’s the thing for you to decide.

Various quotes on the topic of Konami's upcoming war-shooter "Six Days in Fallujah":
"Considering the enormous loss of life in the Iraq War, glorifying it in a videogame demonstrates very poor judgment and bad taste” - Father of a Deceased Solider
"It's much too soon to start making video games about a war that's still going on, and an extremely flippant response to one of the most important events in modern history." - Tim Collins (Soldier)
“If the game stands up and offers Americans those soldiers' stories, then, why not release it?” - Andy McNab (Author)
