6. Rousimar Palhares – Boxing / BJJ - UFC Record: 2-1; Overall Record: 9-2 - Recently injured, Palhares is a 29-year-old fighter that continues to bring it in his matches. His biggest victory has been over Jeremy Horn and fans are hoping that he comes back from his injury in even better condition than he was before it. Although he’s somewhat on the shorter side for a middleweight, Palhares is definitely needed in the video game due to the lack of named fighters in the division.
7. Clay Guida – Boxing / Wrestling - UFC Record: 5-3; Overall Record: 25-9 - Always an exciting fighter, Clay Guida was excluded from UFC 2009 due to animation of his long shaggy hair. But demands are being heard all over the net for THQ to figure out a way to implement this energizer bunny of fighter in the game. Already owning a win over Nate Diaz and on a win-streak of his own, Guida would be a notable addition to the lightweight division in the game.

8. Jon Jones – Muay Thai / Wrestling - UFC Record: 2-0; Overall Record: 8-0 - At 21-years-old, Jon Jones recently blitzed the The Ultimate Fighter 1 runner-up Stephan Bonnar in an exhilarating match that showed how energetic and powerful Jones is. For a light-heavyweight, the UFC has one of the better prospects in the division that potentially could be a title holder in the future. So it’s crucial that THQ introduces this young stud into UFC 2009 to showcase how brilliant of a fighter he could become.
