E3 2009 is only a few days and the anticipation for this event is building up to make for one thrilling year for video games. Last week we spoke about the logical and confirmed games for Microsoft’s E3 line-up. It wasn’t a list that had a large quantity of games, so today we are going to be discussing the line-up of titles that would be perfect to round out the rest of Microsoft’s E3 catalogue. If you missed out on last week’s article that detailed Alan Wake, Ninety-Nine Nights II, Blue Dragon 2, Forza Motorsport 3, Halo 3: ODST, South Park XBLA, Perfect Dark 2 and Conker 2, then feel free to check it out to get caught up on Microsoft’s latest happenings for E3. What would it take for Microsoft to crush the competition this year at E3 (software only), check out what we think below:

Metal Gear Solid 4 + Oxide: This title is a ‘gimme’ since everybody is gossiping about its alleged appearance at Microsoft’s press conference this year. Not only would this put a damper on fanatics from the rival camp, it would be a huge win for Microsoft to gain the confidence from Hideo Kojima to support their console. If Microsoft can gain anything from Kojima and Konami that is on par with Metal Gear Solid 4, then you can expect a lot of hoopla coming from the press at E3 for Microsoft.
Halo Chronicles "Reach": It’s time for Microsoft to either let the cat out of the bag on this project or announce that it’s dead in the water. The last three years has been horrible for Halo fans as this has been teased for the longest time with very little details. Recent reports have stated that this project has been put on hold for who knows how long, but it’s time for Microsoft to either man up and reveal any information they can on Halo Chronicles or outright let us know that it has been put on indefinite hold. They owe their fans at least that much.
