Rage - Not to be confused with Rockstar Games’ game engine, Rage is a title that is being developed by id Software, along with being published by Electronic Arts. Using id Tech 5, Rage was announced to be picked up by EA at E3 2008 and has gone off the radar since then. With much information being talked about John Carmack’s upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter – outside of news that it won’t release in 2009 – Rage shouldn’t be dormant for too much longer as EA and id Software gear up to finish the project for a hopeful 2010 release.
Red Dead Redemption - An additional game that fell victim to missing E3 to Rockstar Games skipping E3 in its entirety was Red Dead Redemption. Scheduled to release by spring 2010, Red Dead Redemption is already far in development. Like Max Payne 3, RDR is using the same engine as GTA4 (RAGE), and is going to allow gamers to experience an even more open-world environment than its predecessor had. We hope to hear more officially information on Rockstar’s upcoming western in the near future.
