‘Splosion Man - ‘Splosion Man is the latest title from Twisted Pixel, the developers behind indie darling, The Maw. The game is a side-scrolling adventure starring a molten man that can combust at will because of a military experiment gone wrong. Along with 50 single-player levels that contain comedic cut scenes and epic boss battles, the game will also feature four-player co-op and 50 competitive local or online multiplayer levels that are score- and time-based in nature. If you are looking for some literal bang for your buck this summer, ‘Splosion Man surely won’t disappoint.
Shadow Complex - As one of the set pieces of Microsoft’s E3 press conference, Shadow Complex has stunning visuals for a 2D side-scrolling, downloadable title. Coming from Epic Games, the developer of the wildly popular Gears of War franchise, and based on Orson Scott Card’s best-selling novel, Empire, the game looks to be a winning combination this summer. Judging from the demo at E3, one can expect Shadow Complex to play much like old-school 2D Metroid and Castlevania games, complete with over a hundred powerups to find in its expansive environment.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled - At last, the classic arcade brawler starring everyone’s favorite pizza loving, sewer dwelling crime fighters. This ‘Re-shelled’ version boasts new 3D graphics, but features all of the same classic gameplay that will be sure to satisfy newcomers and veterans alike. Turtles in Time will place players in the shoes of Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael as they get sent through a time warp, where they battle against Shredder and his Foot Soldiers to foil his nefarious plot and save history. Beyond the improved visuals, new features will also include support for online multiplayer and leaderboards. Cowabunga!
