Epic Games VP Mark Rein has once again rebutted the latest round of rumors, and said that there will definetely be no Gears of War demo before the release of the game.

here, Rein posted the following on the
Official Epic Games forums:
Just saw the dog tag image with the "Microsoft points". It just isn't true. There is no demo coming out before the game ships and I have no idea if we'll do one after the game ships or not. Right now there are no plans to do one as I said earlier in this thread. I have asked Microsoft to take that image down.So, to conclude:
- There will be no Gears of War demo available before the release date.
- There are no current plans for a demo after the release date (whether it will cost Microsoft Points to download or not)
That said, how many more GoW demo rumors do you think we'll see before Emergence Day?
