Microsoft announced today a new promo for the 1 vs. 100 beta on Xbox Live. From Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28, Silver Xbox Live members can enjoy the 1 vs. 100 premium entertainment experience reserved exclusively for Gold members. This offer is only available for one weekend. During the beta period no actual prizes will be awarded; so please, never take the cowards way out by accepting the "money".
Once out of beta, the surprisingly addictive trivia game will offer skill-based prizes, including virtual Microsoft Point funds and Xbox Live Arcade games. The more members of the 100-person "Mob" that "The One" outlasts by correctly answering questions, the higher the payout, with the remaining "Mob" receiving prizes if they outsmart "The One." The better a player performs in the scheduled "Extended Play" sessions, the more likely they are to be chosen as "The One" or in "The Mob" during live sessions, with everyone else still able to participate and answer questions from their spot in "The Crowd." In recent sessions, the game has seen tens of thousands of simultaneous players.
1 vs. 100 on Xbox Live is a regularly-scheduled show that combines the best of TV show experiences – the production value, programming, and live excitement – with interactive social gaming on the global Xbox LIVE stage. 1 vs. 100 will feature a live studio host, fresh content, and prizes.
