F.E.A.R.by Arthur K
Monolith said that most of the Xbox 360 version of F.E.A.R is going to be the same as it came out on PC. There is the addition of an “instant-action” mode, basically letting you dive into a level with constant spawns of enemies to let you flush your frustrations out. It is always nice to see a horde of soldiers stapled to the walls after you attack them with your nail-gun. Although it is upsetting that we won’t see any new single-player levels in the Xbox 360 version of F.E.A.R, the good side of it is that the multiplayer aspect of the game, which was basically standard deathmatch, will go hand-in-hand with console players who are used to that type of online gameplay. The Xbox 360 will definitely provide a unique experience to players who have already enjoyed F.E.A.R on the PC.
F.E.A.R is scheduled to come out in early 2007 and people should definitely look forward to its release date. If you enjoyed games like Condemned or Doom 3, you should find this game very interesting and fun to play. It wouldn’t surprise if we see other new features between now and the release date, being that it’s still quite a time away, but even as a straight port this is still a great game that has yet to be experienced by many gamers. With unique gameplay features and a great horror feel, this title is definitely going to be a great addition to any Xbox 360 library.
