XBLA Downloadable Content Review:Fable 2: See the Future (560 MS Points)
As the second add-on for Fable 2, See the Future doesn’t give fans a good enough reason to revisit the world of Albion. There are two grand quests to embark on and only one of them was worthy of playing through. Accepting two quests, the first is a snow globe where the player must return the color to the town, while the second has players dressing up to trick enemies into letting them pass their guarded gates. The former is the better of the two quests and is much longer in terms of replay value. Outside of that, players can fight through a coliseum and use a potion to change the breed of their dog. Beyond changing the breed of your dog and the snow globe quest, See the Future isn’t the most robust DLC to be released. 2 / 5
Gears of War 2: Dark Corners (1200 MS Points)
Adding in single-player mission to the campaign, Gears of War 2’s Dark Corners downloadable content is an essential purchase for any fanatic. The campaign addition is relatively short, but it adds in a new perspective to the Gears of War 2 gameplay: stealth. Players are tasked to dress up as Locusts and sneak past security, but if players would rather shoot up, they can. It’s amusing and it’s not the only part of the DLC that is included. There are seven new maps that should spark interest to players who haven’t played multiplayer in awhile. Of them, Nowhere and Allfathers Garden turned out to be the best additions. The former is has an open view of the battlefield, so the firefights are exquisite. The latter is a much larger map that allows for all types of play: from long-range to close-quarters, the battles are nail-biting. Dark Corners is a must buy for any Gears fan. 4 / 5
