Hands-on with upcoming Xbox Live Arcade games:Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures, Episode 2: The Last Resort - Continuing the tradition that is found in Wallace & Gromit, the strong dialogue and intelligent humor has returned in the second episode on Xbox Live. Starting out much better than the first episode did, The Last Resort begins with players swimming around in the flooded basement as Gromit in a blowup green turtle. If players have never played the first episode, they can play through a tutorial to learn the magical ways of Wallace & Gromit. The quality looks to stay in tact, but that was to be expected since this is being handled by the same development team.
Quake Arena Arcade - Only playing through the single-player campaign – if you want to call fighting bots a campaign – Quake Arena Arcade is returning and it’ll be this year on the Xbox Live Arcade. While fighting bots does have its limit of entertainment value through single-player, Quake Arena Arcade should be much more enjoyable when there’s 16 people online fragging each other through Deathmatch, Team Deathmach, Capture the Flag and many other modes. If Battlefield 1943 is to be used as an example, then one can only see the future of how popular Quake Arena Arcade should turn out when it hits Xbox Live.

Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Hao Tao - Gamers are in for a real surprise come August 26. Invincible Tiger: The Legend of Hao Tao is a rousing game for fans of action and kung fu. It’s a beat ‘em-up that features addictive combat that should be enjoyed by anyone that owns a Bruce Lee collection of DVDs. Within the first level, there are fourteen chapters where gamers must survive waves of enemies till they reach the end where they encounter a samurai in full armor posing as the boss. After defeating him, Hao Tao finds out that the real boss of the level is a stone creature sitting on the throne that swings a hammer with real force. Invincible Tiger has caught my attention and it should be on everyone’s radar since there’s not many games like it on the XBLA.
