One Game that's Needed on the XBLA:Killer Instinct - It’s time for Rare to mount up and become “The Regulators” of the Xbox Live Arcade. Having seen three of their titles already reach the service (Jetpac Refuelled, Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie), Rare is already readying their next release by porting Perfect Dark. Even though 4J Studios is handling the porting of Perfect Dark – as they did with Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie – Rare needs to ante up continue bringing their extensive library to the XBLA. Having seen the current wave of fighters on the XBLA – KOF ’98, Street Fighter, Garou and many others – it’s only appropriate that Killer Instinct finally makes its way onto the XBLA. There’s high demand for Rare to update or even port the cult classic series, but they continue to deny the possibility of revival. Players want to use their favorite Killer Instinct characters – from Jago to Fulgore – and they want to do so as soon as possible.

So what’s the hold up? Who really knows but let’s take a quick look at what could be expected, in terms of features, for Killer Instinct should it find its way on the XBLA. First off, they’d improve the framerate while including 1080p HD resolution. Secondly, they’d finally provide gamers a chance to play Killer Instinct online and prove they are the best via leaderboards. Lastly, they could give gamers the chance to watch other matches through quarter matches and even saving replays from their favorite battles. If you’d like to get in touch with Rare and let them know your wishes for a port/update of Killer Instinct, you can follow their Twitter at: http://twitter.com/RareLtd.
