A threesome of nerd-friendly actors have signed on to lend their voices to Piranha Bites' upcoming fantasy RPG title, Risen. Known for his fantastic portrayal as Gollum in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Andy Serkis plays the apparent antagonist, known as The Inquisitor. Fellow LOTR castmate, John Rhys Davis will lend his pipes to a character named Don Esteban. Star of the unfortunately cancelled Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Lena Headey. The three join an already impressive cast of British TV stars like Torchwood's Burn Gorman and The Royal's Damian O'Hare.
Risen is set in a fantasy-based medieval land where you have been shipwrecked on a mysterious island with an active volcano seemingly the least of your problems, with the recently risen ancient temples and strange creatures roaming about. There seems to be two factions on the island vying for power, leaving the recently washed ashore main character in the middle. It sounds a bit like a medieval Lost, which could make it a sleeper hit for the fall. Risen is currently set for an October 2nd release.
