Is This More Proof that the Xbox 360 Pro is Discontinued

A tipster just sent in pictures of the all-new Xbox 360 Elite model that is showing up at video game retailers around the country, as early as today. The similar color to Pro models pushes us to wonder if the going-extinct rumors were true. Microsoft is not commenting on the hardware rumors at this time but stay tuned right here to PlanetXbox360.com for more information as it comes to fruition. Along with the new pictures was a statement from the retail store employee that they have not received any new "Pro" model Xbox 360's in the past couple weeks and these new "Elite" boxes were the first hardware that arrived in some time. It seems unfathomable that Microsoft would keep two different models on the store shelves with exactly the same color boxing (Elite=Black - Pro=White - Arcade=Green). The images we received are below and the only difference we can tell is that this Elite model does not include a HDMI cable:
