New Just Cause 2 "No Ordinary Mission" Trailer Released

    by Eric Bush

No Ordinary Mission, no ordinary hero. Armed with a unique multi-tethering grappling hook, no combat scenario will ever feel ordinary either. Just Cause 2 takes open-world combat to an all new level with the unique, arm-mounted grapple, instantly available at the touch of a button. Launched at soldiers, they are pulled off their feet and through the air; launched at buildings, players can scale even the tallest tower, creating a vantage point like no other; launched at vehicles and reeled in, they become on object to hijack and your new vehicle or weapon. Couple these moves with multi-tethering and the fun really turns up a level: tether cars to passing planes or over the edge of a bridge or ravine; tether boats to helicopters and wreak havoc with the ultimate wrecking ball; tether soldiers to each other, to vehicles, to bridges, barrels, trees, cars, buildings or commercial airliners. Combat will never be the same again.

As Rico Rodriguez, the Agency’s most powerful weapon, players must take on the island and its military regime to track down Rico’s former boss and mentor, Tom Sheldon, who has gone rogue in Panau with millions in Agency cash and secrets. Using a unique grapple and parachute combination, there is no vertical limit as the air becomes your playground: grapple a passing plane in flight, hijack helicopters or BASE jump from the tallest buildings or mountains. Just Cause 2 offers players the freedom to tackle missions the way they choose and with over 100 vehicles and countless upgrades and collectibles, the choices are limitless.
