Call of Duty 3 Online Issuesby Matt Gibbs
It would appear that some people are experiencing issues when trying to join online games in Call of Duty 3. Treyarch are already on to it though, and are working on the problem. fourzerotwo, a Community Relations Manager for Infinity Ward posted the following on the official Xbox.com forums: We understand that some players have experienced difficulty joining Ranked Matches and Player Matches over Xbox Live - we are working as hard as we can to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Please continue to post the symptoms of any problems encountered to help us resolve the situation. While we continue to investigate, there are a couple of steps that can be taken to improve the player's ability to join games.Ranked MatchDue to the extremely high volume of players attempting to join Ranked Matches simultaneously upon initial release of the game, the Quick Match option may have difficulty matching players together. As a workaround, it is recommended that players join Ranked Matches through the "Custom Match" option. Custom Match searches may take anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes to find adequate matches for your game. It is recommended that all players give the Ranked Match search a minimum of 30 seconds to complete - continually searching, cancelling, and searching again within a matter of a few seconds causes the overall environment of Ranked Matches over Xbox Live less stable.Player MatchWhen a player chooses Player Match, the game returns a session list of the first 50 games that match the search query. Each of those games has a quality rating of 1 - 5 stars. Players should always join games with 4 or 5 stars to ensure that they have a good connection with the host. If the game is still not joinable with 4 or 5 stars, it means that another player in that game does not have the ability to connect directly to you. This situation is typically caused when one player has a strict NAT on their router or has a very poor internet connection quality. In order to improve these conditions, all players should follow the instructions posted below to open up their Xbox 360 connection to the internet.How about you? Any problems with CoD3 online?

Joining any type of game is a major problem, sometimes taking as much as twentyfive minutes. While I enjoy playing, once on, getting there is a drag. Whoever has ownership for this issue should step up, explain the situation and reset expectations for all of us users. That might not be a solution, but it would give people the sense someone gives a crap. |

um also in addition to having HORRIBLY slow problem with geting in cod3 games but... when i do custom match on player match... the list shows up blank, the first time i did it, it worked! but now it fails everytime. does ne1 else have this problem |

this is definently something that should have been caught in development. but even online play wont save this game in my opinion its terrible and i hope Treyarch never does another Call of Duty game. |

Am I the only one having trouble getting into Gears of War games? Seems like I can only join about 1 in every 10 games I try to connect to. |

whenever we join a game online, we get, clean disc screan and then sent back to dashboard, when there's absolutely nothing wrong with the disc, is this related, or a different problem? |

Yeah I rented it, and it is seriously fucked up. If you get invited to a game,or Join Session In Progress, and you don't get in the game, trying to go to the single player it will take you back to the MP screen and try to connect you. Glitchy shit. Then the single player's normal difficulty is like hardened or veteran on CoD 2. |

Im having random lock ups in single player campaign :( really suxs , online seems ok if someone is hosting , ranked games seem to much like PGR to me and takes to long to get into a game....glad they r on the case to make a fix though.. werid its infinity ward though??? |
