Fallout: New Vegas – Spring 2010:
Publisher: Bethesda Softworks
Developer: Obsidian Entertainment
Not much has been revealed about this so called “not a sequel to Fallout 3.” Obsidian Entertainment, the developers for the upcoming Alpha Protocol, is behind the next visitation to the Fallout franchise and this time they are taking it to the heart of Sin City. Fallout: New Vegas won’t be a large departure from Fallout 3 since it utilizes the Gamebryo engine. Fans should find a safe home within Bethesda’s upcoming baby and moneymaker.
Alpha Protocol – Spring 2010:
Publisher: Sega
Developer: Obsidian Entertainment

Taking cues from Bioware and their Mass Effect franchise, Obsidian Entertainment has dedicated a good wealth of their time in creating a title that has a robust dialogue system. As Michael Thorton, players take the role of a CIA field agent who is thrown under the bus and must clear his name from a gigantic conspiracy set up to make him the fall man. Players are able to take different routes with the conversations such as being cocky similar to James Bond or hostile in the same vein as Jack Bauer. Players will have to suffer the consequences of their conversation choices, so they’ll need to be careful with their decisions.
Resonance of Fate – Summer 2010:
Publisher: Sega
Developer: tri-Ace

Is third time a charm for tri-Ace? After releasing Infinite Undiscovery and Star Ocean: The Last Hope, both formerly exclusive Xbox 360 titles (Star Ocean lands on the PS3 in February of 2010), Resonance of Fate is set to release as a multiplatform title. Moving away from Square Enix and now developing a title under Sega, tri-Ace is taking a new approach to the genre for the Xbox 360. Characters will be using submachine guns, handguns, and many various weapons that are hardly used in the Japanese role-playing game genre. On top of that, players are able to customize the weapons to their discretion after finding items from loot.
