Stuck on Gears of War? Buy a Video Strategy Guide

Brady Games has found its way through the strategy guide controversy and onto the Xbox Live Marketplace, offering a guide to help you defeat a boss in the game that has taken over the world, Gears of War.  The guide will cost you 100 Microsoft points, and features Cliffy B. walking you through the boss battle.

It is important to point out that Brady Games had nothing to do with the development of the game.  They have always been an independent producer of strategy guides and by dabbling in the marketplace, they are extending the way they can reach out to their customers.  They can't be accused of making a less robust game as a way to sell extra add-ons.

The most discussion-worthy aspect of this content is that the big baddies in Gears of War are notoriously easy to defeat.  Having spent more time than is responsible on GoW, I tend to think it is about a cinematic experience and extended online play, not so much about brain-numbingly impossible bosses.

Gears of War has such an impressive coop feature, maybe some of you intrepid players can make a living acting as in-game tutors for those who have money to flush, but don't have the patience to complete it alone.  Hmm... Gears of War tour guide, for 1600 points an hour?
