8. Controllers/Accessories: I'm curious how many people who read this will be able to say that they grew up with Nintendo, Sega or Sony controllers in their hands. I'm talking about gamers who held those old school controllers and could appreciate the loving simplicity of some of them. Not much has changed since then if you really think about it, but if there is a controller that makes me feel more comfortable than ever, it's my beloved Xbox 360 controller. I love all of them, my green Halo 3 controller, my ODST controller and even my special edition Spartan controller from the release of Halo 3, if anyone remembers what it looks like. Regardless of what's on the controllers, design-wise that is just such a comfy controller. Growing up as someone who held just about every means of controlling a system, I remember the bear that was the original Xbox controller and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who really loved it. But these 360 controllers blow away the competition easily. I still think it's funny watching a member of my family play Modern Warfare 2 on the Playstation 3, only to get frustrated and tell me how much he hates the controller before lovingly reaching for his white 360 controller. So, the next time you want to play Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, Halo 3, Mass Effect or Borderlands, you best remember and give thanks because without those little things called controllers, you might as well be watching a movie.

7. TV Shows & Movies: I'm aware how many Sony fanboys there are out there who rag on the 360 because it can't play blu-ray. I know, so sad for us that we get a kick ass library of games and can stream a boatload of high-definition content from Netflix and the Xbox Live Marketplace before the need for a DVD even enters the equation. Call me crazy, but the ability to download an episode of a television show as well as stream movies makes life fluidly easy. Seriously, there are days when I sit down in front of the 360 and am about to download something to watch off Live when I discover that I can stream it over Netflix on my 360 and it makes me feel like a bum out of the sheer fact that it takes so little genuine work to sift through the access I have to such a massive amount of content. Of course, if there is anything we gamers love, it is a massive amount of content. So the next time you don't have to wait for your Netflix to show up at your house or you just don't want to have to deal with going to the video store so you can crash in front of your TV with your friends, family or significant gaming other, just remember your 360 chugging along, making your life a little bit easier and be thankful for it.
