Microsoft's 343 Industries, the studio created with the sole purpose of heading up Microsoft's continuing Halo efforts once Halo:Reach is completed by Bungie Studios next year, announced this morning via Twitter.com that Metal Gear Solid 4 Sound Director Sotaro Tojima has joined the studio to work on current and upcoming projects to take place. He also provided composition for the 2001 Game Boy Advance game Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, and has various sound design-related credits dating back to 1991's Super Castlevania IV. This is the second high-profile hire for 343 from the infamous MGS4 team, as former Kojima Productions/MGS4 Associate Producer Ryan Payton joined Microsoft's Seattle based start-up in August of last year. The hiring is also the second recent personnel change for Konami in Japan, as Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka also left the publisher this month. It is rumored that 343 Studios is working on an unnamed Halo title for the execs at Microsoft Game Studios; to be announced after the 2010 release of Halo Reach. "We're excited to announce our newest member of the 343 family, Audio Director, Sotaro Tojima from Kojima Productions!" the message reads.
