Los Angeles, CA - December 22, 2009 - SEGA of America today confirmed that the upcoming multiplayer-rich shooter Aliens vs. Predator will release in North America on February 16th 2010 on Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC Games For Windows.
In addition to the standard edition of the game, Aliens vs. Predator will be available as a very limited Hunter Edition for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 featuring a host of awesome goodness (pictures of the packages are attached).
Those quick enough to pick-up the Hunter Edition will get immediate access to 4 multiplayer maps before they are released to the public , a fully articulated and disturbingly creepy Facehugger model, a hardcover graphic novel from Dark Horse Comics featuring the original AvP comic that started it all , a Weyland Yutani sleeve badge and a 3D lenticular postcard.
In addition to the limited Hunter Edition, shooter fans can pre-order the standard edition of AvP and receive codes to unlock a unique Marine, Predator and Alien skin exclusively for use in AvP’s multi-species multiplayer bloodbath.
Shooter fans can battle with and against up to 18 friends in Aliens vs. Predator’s exotic online multiplayer modes including the unique Infestation and Predator Hunt modes. Those looking for a story to go with their killing can enjoy the single player game and experience three brutal single-player campaigns seen from the eyes of each species. Aliens vs. Predator is developed by Rebellion, the team behind the 1999 PC gaming classic Aliens vs. Predator.
